The Laker football team fell to league leader (MIAC) Oakland Christian on Saturday afternoon by a score of 44-14.
The Lakers led briefly in the 1st quarter when senior FB Jaylin Gilmore scored on a 75 yard run on the first play from scrimmage.
The Lancers would score early and often after that with a potent passing attack and led the home team 37-6 at halftime.
Gilmore led the offense, which rushed for 235 yards, with 172 yards of his own. The defense was led by junior Armon Parker with 6.5 tackles (2 TFL) along with a TD recovery after a blocked punt.
The Lakers (2-2) will return to action on Friday when they will travel to play Lutheran Westland (1-1). Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
