Boys Varsity Basketball · Men Bounce Back


After dropping a close game at Southfield Christian on Tuesday, the Lakers Men’s Basketball team traveled to Canton Prep on Thursday and picked up a convincing 63-32 victory over the Chargers in Detroit Metro Athletic Conference (DMAC) play.

Freshman PG Jordan Cross led the way for the Lakers off the bench with 17 points. Junior big man Armon Parker continued his solid play by chipping in 8 points and 7 rebounds while twin brother Jayvon scored 7 points and hauled in 9 caroms.

With the victory, the Lakers sit a top the DMAC standings with a perfect 3-0 record. The 3-time defending DMAC Champs currently sit at 6-2 overall and will travel to Crestwood (5-2) to play a non-league contest against the Chargers tonight. The JV game will begin at 5:30 pm with the varsity game scheduled for 7:00 pm.
